What Data Does the 2020 Census Cover?

TUESDAY, OCT 05, 2021

The 2020 Census covers a surprisingly large number of issues with very few (7) questions:

  • Number of people living in a household

  • Relationship among people living in a household

  • Housing tenure (owned or rented)

  • Gender of people in household

  • Age of people in household

  • Ethnicity (Hispanic or non-Hispanic) of people in household

  • Race of people in household

The data may be combined to provide multiple data points, e.g., the number of non-Hispanic, Black children in a geographic area or the percentage of Native American homeowners in a geographic area.
