Social Explorer First to Publish ACS 2019 Five-Year Estimates

TUESDAY, DEC 15, 2020

Social Explorer is once again the first data-mapping platform to publish crucial American Community Survey data. We are extremely proud to announce that the American Community Survey (ACS) 2019 five-year estimates are now live. Explore and analyze thousands of variables within this dataset only on Social Explorer’s award-winning platform.

The ACS five-year estimates are part of an extensive survey released by the Census Bureau every five years. Since 2010, the American Community Survey has released data collected from 3.5 million households every year, which was then compiled over a five-year period, for all geographic areas.

Unlike the one-year estimates that are collected only in areas with a population of at least 65,000 people, the five-year estimates offer much more granular and in-depth data. All counties, cities, small towns, and census tracts are included in this dataset, offering an abundance of data and depicting comprehensive data trends in all areas of the United States. The 2019 ACS Survey includes variables on a wide range of demographic topics such as income, race, employment, health insurance, housing, and much more.

To uncover insights and compare new demographic trends, simply access this new data on our dashboard through the reports or maps tool. New data trends and discoveries are just a few clicks away.
